Let's talk CHLORINE 🏊‍♀️🏊🏊‍♂️

Chlorine sanitizes your water and keeps the icky stuff from growing in your pool. And there are options available - liquid chlorine, granular chlorine & chlorine tablets.

LIQUID & GRANULAR CHLORINE are just that...chlorine. You can use these forms as shock or if you need to increase chlorine in your pool.

CHLORINE TABLETS are so convenient (we use them in our own pool!), and they contain a chlorine stabilizer called cyanuric acid (aka CYA). CYA helps extend the life of your chlorine and is great when CYA levels are kept at an appropriate level.

However, if CYA levels get too high it can act as a chlorine blocker. High levels of CYA can be a costly fix as many times pool owners have to drain their pools half way, refill the water, and start over with water balance.

If you are maintaining your pool, make sure that your water balance test kit shows you that level and talk to a pool professional before adding stabilizer to your pool.
